Privacy policy
Last updated October 2026
This policy explains how AppVerse (“AppVerse”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit https://www.appverse.in (the “Site”), submit an enquiry or otherwise contact us. It applies to visitors and prospective clients in the United States, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, India and elsewhere.
If you become a client, our agreement or statement of work will describe how we handle the data we process on your behalf. This policy covers the Site and our own business contacts only.
1. Who is responsible for your data
AppVerse is the controller of personal information collected through the Site. Our studio is at 126, Udyog Vihar Phase 4, Sector 18, Gurugram, Haryana 122015, India. You can reach us at hello@appverse.in or +91 74287 20888.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use an enquiry form (the “Start a project” pop-up, the home page or the contact page) we collect your name, work email, phone number, company, designation, budget range and any message you write. If you book a call, we also collect the date and time you choose and your timezone. If you use the chat assistant on the Site, we collect the messages you send and any contact details you share in the chat. If you email, call or message us, we keep that correspondence.
Information collected automatically.
- With each enquiry, our servers record the page and form it came from, the time, your IP address, your browser’s user agent (which shows device, operating system and browser) and the approximate country your connection is from (derived from the IP address by our hosting provider).
- When a page with a phone field loads, our server reads the approximate country of your IP address from your hosting provider’s request headers and returns it to your browser to pre-select the country code. It is not stored for this purpose, and you can change the country at any time.
- So that we can tell which campaign brought you to us, your browser stores the address of the page you first landed on (including any campaign tags and ad-click identifiers in it) and the website that referred you, for up to 90 days. This is sent with an enquiry you submit.
- We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4 and, where we run campaigns, advertising measurement tags (such as Google Ads or LinkedIn). These collect pages viewed, referring site, campaign or ad click identifiers, device, browser, language and approximate location, and record when an enquiry is submitted.
- We use the Meta Pixel to measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram advertising. It records pages viewed, clicks on our phone, email and WhatsApp links, when the enquiry pop-up is opened and when an enquiry or booking is submitted, along with device, browser and ad-click identifiers. When you submit an enquiry, your browser converts your name, email and phone number into irreversible SHA-256 hashes and sends only those hashes to Meta, so it can match the enquiry to an ad you saw (“advanced matching”). The hashes are also kept in your browser’s local storage so later visits from the same device can be matched. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not use advanced matching. Our server also sends these events to Meta directly (Meta’s Conversions API), with your IP address, browser user agent, approximate location (country, region, city and postcode, worked out from your IP address and sent as hashes), Meta’s cookie identifiers, a random visitor ID and, for an enquiry or booking, the same hashed details, so measurement still works when the pixel is blocked; Meta uses a shared event ID to count each event once.
- Our servers keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, request, timestamp) for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.
- The chat assistant on the Site is provided by our CRM platform, iSales. It loads from iSales servers, so iSales receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads, and processes your chat messages to respond and to pass your enquiry to our team. It may use its own cookies or browser storage to keep your conversation going. Please don’t share sensitive information in the chat.
- Your browser’s session storage remembers that you have already seen our enquiry pop-up so we do not show it repeatedly. It is cleared when you close the tab.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as health, financial-account or government-ID data) through the Site. Please do not include it in your message.
3. How and why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare scoping calls, proposals and quotes. Basis: steps at your request before entering a contract; our legitimate interest in running our business.
- To run and secure the Site, including preventing spam and abuse. Basis: legitimate interests.
- To measure and improve the Site and our advertising, including understanding which campaigns lead to enquiries. Basis: your consent where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK); otherwise our legitimate interests.
- To contact you about relevant services if you have enquired or are a business contact, where the law permits. You can opt out at any time. Basis: legitimate interests or consent, as applicable.
- To meet legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not use enquiry information to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we do not sell personal information.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with providers that help us operate, under contracts that limit their use of it, and where required by law:
- Hosting and infrastructure — to serve the Site and process requests.
- CRM, chat and email tools — enquiries and chat conversations are recorded in our CRM and chat platform (iSales) so our team can respond and follow up, and may be delivered by email through an email delivery service or an automation tool.
- Analytics and advertising providers — Google (Analytics and Ads), when enabled, and Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel, for Facebook and Instagram ads).
- Scheduling — if you choose to book a call, the scheduling provider we link to handles the details you enter there under its own privacy policy.
- Professional advisers, and authorities — lawyers, accountants and insurers, and public or regulatory bodies where we are legally required to disclose.
- Successors — a buyer or successor if our business is reorganised, sold or merged, subject to this policy.
5. International transfers
We are based in India and our providers operate in several countries, including the United States. Your information may therefore be processed outside the country where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the provider’s certified transfer frameworks.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
When analytics and advertising measurement are enabled, Google and Meta set cookies in your browser, typically:
- _ga and _ga_* — distinguish visitors and sessions for Google Analytics (first-party; up to about two years).
- Google Ads cookies (such as _gcl_*) — record that a visit came from an ad click so that enquiries can be attributed to campaigns (up to about 90 days).
- Meta cookies (_fbp, and _fbc after a Facebook or Instagram ad click) — set by our server and the Meta Pixel to recognise the browser and attribute enquiries to Meta ads, with server-only copies (av_fbp, av_fbc) that restore them if your browser shortens their lifetime (up to about 90 days from your last visit).
- Visitor ID (av_xid) — a random ID we set so that Meta can tell visits from the same browser apart from other visitors’ when measuring our ads; it contains no personal details and is not set if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal (up to 1 year from your last visit).
We also use browser storage for the enquiry pop-up and for the campaign information described above, and the chat assistant may set its own cookies or storage. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, use Google’s browser opt-out add-on, or turn off personalised ads in your Google account or in Meta’s ad preferences. Blocking cookies does not stop you using the Site or sending an enquiry. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal where the law requires.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and chat conversations that do not become projects — kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable follow-up period, normally no longer than 24 months after our last contact, then deleted or anonymised.
- Client records — kept for the life of the engagement and then as long as needed for tax, accounting, contractual and legal purposes.
- Server logs — kept for a short period, usually weeks, unless needed to investigate abuse.
- Analytics data — kept for the retention period configured in the analytics account.
8. Security
We use measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls for the team members who handle enquiries, rate limiting and spam protection on our forms, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you and regulators where the law requires.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you, and receive a copy;
- have inaccurate information corrected or incomplete information completed;
- have your information deleted, or its use restricted;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests, or to direct marketing, and withdraw consent you have given at any time;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
To use any of these rights, email hello@appverse.in from the address you used with us. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time the applicable law requires (generally within one month, or 45 days in California). If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data-protection authority — for example your national authority in the EEA, the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, or the Data Protection Board of India. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
